The British-Brazilian artist, performer, and psychologist Tigo Ayres has been confirmed to exhibit at Spectrum Miami 2025, one of the leading international art fairs held during Miami Art Week, in parallel with Art Basel Miami Beach. The event will take place from 3 to 7 December 2025 at the Mana Wynwood Convention Center, gathering thousands of collectors, curators, and art enthusiasts from around the world.
Ayres’s participation marks a major moment in his international trajectory. Known for merging painting, performance, and psychology, his work explores the intersections of identity, memory, and spirituality through a deeply sensorial and symbolic lens. His presentation in Miami will feature an immersive selection of paintings and performance-based works that connect ancestral narratives to contemporary experience.
Presented under the conceptual umbrella of Between Worlds and Memories: Birth, Death, and Resurrection, the exhibition invites visitors into a reflective environment where art becomes both a gesture of resistance and a space for healing. Through expressive brushwork and ritualistic imagery, Ayres’s paintings act as thresholds between worlds — uniting elements of Afro-Latin mysticism, mythology, and personal history.

“Exhibiting at Spectrum Miami is more than an artistic opportunity; it is a chance to bring the spirit and diversity of Brazilian culture to a global stage,” says Ayres. “My work seeks to console the disturbed and to disturb the comfortable — to remind us that art has the power to transform, to remember, and to restore.”
Over the past two decades, Ayres has lived and worked between London and Natal (Brazil), developing a multidisciplinary career that bridges cultures and disciplines. His professional background includes collaborations with the Royal Opera House and People’s Palace Projects, as well as exhibitions at the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival (UK), the Brazil Meets Gmünd Festival (Austria), the Embassy of Mexico in London, and CasaCor Sergipe (Brazil).
His works have been described as “portals of renewal”, blending psychological insight and aesthetic depth with influences from ritual performance and spiritual philosophy. In Miami, Ayres’s presentation will reinforce his ongoing exploration of the relationship between art, psychology, and collective transformation.
Spectrum Miami is recognised as one of the most dynamic contemporary art fairs in the Americas, showcasing emerging and established artists from over 20 countries. For Ayres, it represents both a professional milestone and a continuation of his mission to create bridges between cultures through art.
The exhibition will be open daily from 12:00 to 20:00, with live performances by the artist each evening at 19:00, followed by an open conversation with audiences at 20:00.
